Different kind of teachers in my life...Part Uno

I always had an habit of observing people , their style , their body language etc. This wasn't just an observation but in my earlier days but I tried to imitate them too (Its a natural human tendency to imitate others though..) . This habit of me somewhat made a mimic.

I didn't take any special efforts to master this art but it was something easy for me. I still dunno why I am comfortable with mimicry than with writing papers...! ;)

Coming to the theme of this post , I have seen many kinds of teachers who try to put something they know into the empty bucket of the students..! Yes they try their level best. But its we students who ignore them at least once even if he/she has been practicing this art of teaching over decades , don't we?

The first teacher in my list was my 6th standard class teacher. He used to teach us Marathi . He was supreme in his subject. This guy was good to those who always stick to him and accept his sayings as biblical.
Half of the lecture used to go in hibernating, the rest was spent in hearing his advice , the complaint regarding a particular student about a mistake that he had committed years back..! He used to remind us of our mistakes committed in 6th standard even in 10th ..! His memory was equal to current 10GB SD RAM..
GOD CURSE HIS MEMORY...!!!!

The next on the list is my 8th standard English teacher. This guy was a lunatic. After coming to the class his main job was to look for a prey. The student who makes an eye contact with him will be seen with scars the next day ! He had plenty of reasons to thrash one. I still didn't know whether he came for teaching or wrestling..! The lecture used to go in silence as none of us knew the technique of defense. I was good at English at that time so he couldn't break my morale.
He thrashed my Benchmate and warned me as we were giggling when was in action with some student. I kept myself cool at that instant as I used to fight those days for what we call now as justice...!
Keeping in mind the virtue of forgiveness .. I forgive him.

The 9th and 10th class geography teacher was simply a bluff. Half of the lecture was spent in making the students believe what he said. Ya he was professional in it.
His stories include an house in Karnataka ( Kerala in other divisions , Andhra in some class ..) where natural gas fumes out of an house. People residing there used that gas to cook. ;)
A beautiful place he went but never knew the name.
Seeing an artificial Mansarovar in Pakistan, riding a scooter with his wife in the pillion seat in 12 feet of water.. etc etc. were his superhit stories :P
His imagination power was awesome..!
We never knew the actual chapter name till the very end..

"He could be a good grandpa one day to narrate such sagas to his grandchildrens "

History teacher came to our class , read the text-book aloud used to go away. I dont know whether she really liked that subject because her presence was never felt. Though she tried her level best , she could never do full justice. The students who concentrated well came out with flying colors but for others... no need to tell. I loved history so somehow my track record was good.

For maths, I didnt really expect a good teacher , but our teacher was fantastic. She was a South Indian full of brains. She put the habit of solving sums on our own without the reference books. Her teaching made the whole class concentrate right on the topic as she used to check anyone's book at anytime or call a random number to solver the sum on the board. Though she never insulted anyone for his/her mistakes but the students used to feel the guilty. She was mesmerizing, I really thank her for her prolonged efforts in making me learn what I wished to.

P.S : This post was not to point out the mistakes of my teachers but to share my experiences with them..!
Wear my shoes ... you can understand me..!
